Thanks to Attendees of the 2013 CREA Annual Meeting!

February 13, 2013

All of the staff at CREA wish to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to all of the co-op directors and managers and other co-op supporters who attended the 2013 CREA Annual Meeting. The meeting was a huge success due to your participation and commitment to CREA and the co-op principles.

We’d also like to thank all of the members of the Colorado General Assembly who met with us in the Legislative Services Building, the Capitol and the Legislative Reception. It was a great opportunity for our folks to meet many of the new legislators and let  them know about the issues that are important to electric co-ops and their member-owners. We also got a chance to meet with our “old friends”, including PUC Commissioner Pam Patton who gave us an overview of her new role as a utility regulator.

We hope you found that the Monday afternoon speakers provided an informative and balanced view of important topics; that seemed to be the case judging from the quantity and quality of questions asked by those in attendance. Our job is to make the annual meeting worthy of your time and effort to come to Denver, and we continually strive to find relevant and thought-provoking presenters.

We are especially grateful to our co-op partners for presenting during the CREA Annual Meeting, including Sheldon from CFC, Candace from CoBank, and Chad from Federated. These companies provide significant funding assistance to CREA and we appreciate their continued support.

Finally, my thanks to the CREA staff for the great job they do in planning and executing the annual meeting. The logistics of a four-day meeting are daunting, but our team makes it look easy.

Thanks again, and we’ll see you this fall at the Energy Innovations Summit!
