Think BlueFin is Just a Tuna? Come to the CREA Energy Innovations Summit!

August 22, 2013

With the crush of the 2013 legislative session behind us, CREA is gearing up for what promises to be another excellent edition of our Energy Innovations Summit. The Summit this year will be held on Monday, October 28, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in downtown Denver as part of our fall CREA business meeting.

One of the panels will take a look at micro grids, with speakers from the Rocky Mountain Institute, the Fort Collins municipal utility, and a local company called Spirae. The CEO of Spirae, Sunil Cherian, has just confirmed that he will be able to join this panel and tell us all about the company’s smart grid and distributed power technologies. Spirae leads the Center for Smart Grid Advancement, which now offers a “smart grid technical certification” course through Front Range Community College as well as engineering courses at CSU. We’re excited to have Dr. Cherian on the panel.

As for BlueFin? While some may think of sushi, Spirae’s BlueFin product is actually a control software that enables power systems to integrate distributed resources while maintaining power flow balance and grid stability; come learn more about this mouthwatering technology at the fourth annual Energy Innovations Summit!
